SUPPORTING NAVY TRAINING AT SEA

Nowra owned and operated Aviation Support Services Company, OPSTAR, has been awarded a 5 year contract to provide Aviation Flight Deck Operational Support Services to the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) onboard the RAN’s new training ship MV SYCAMORE. The contracted team will be responsible for Emergency Medical, Crash Response and all Flight Deck operations on the vessel.

OPSTAR Managing Director, John Giffard said “We are very excited to play our small part in the training of the future aircrew of both the Navy and Army.”

The FDOST contract will be based out of Nowra and has directly created a further 12 jobs for the Shoalhaven.
